WCRS Commercial Manager, Richard Burnes, spoke at a Road Haulage Association (RHA) event last month.

Richard presented about how the waste and recycling market had developed over the last two decades, showing how waste disposal costs and the value of recyclables had risen in this time, leading to the launch of WCRS recycling trading division.

The Road Haulage Association who represents the road transport industry held the ‘Improving Business Performance Seminar’ in Leicester on 19th June. Over 50 members attended, hearing from Richard and speakers from a range of other organisations including Toyota and Lang LaSalle.

Richard said: “I was very pleased to have the opportunity to present to fellow RHA members and hear about the issues that affect them. Resource management is one of the key challenges for businesses today and being able to assist companies to save money, particularly in this economic climate, is a very rewarding element of WCRS’ service”.
