Waste Cost Reduction Services (WCRS) is exhibiting at The Showman’s Show on 19th and 20th October, at Newbury Showground.
The Showman’s Show is an exhibition dedicated to the outdoor events industry and we will be showcasing our sustainable recycling and waste management solutions for events.
For our third year running at the show we are excited to be launching our brand new ‘Recycling Angels’ service aimed at helping event managers to boost recycling at events.
Understanding the challenges that come with high levels of public attendance and temporary staff, WCRS has developed this new service to support event managers in their recycling efforts ensuring any recycling programme implemented has maximum impact.
Jamie-Lee Howard, WCRS Key Account Manager says: “With a vast amount of experience in planning and executing recycling and waste management programmes for large-scale events, we understand that even with the best intentions recycling performance can be hindered by problems with communication, as well as a lack of resources to properly monitor recycling containers. The ‘Recycling Angels’ provide a dedicated, trained resource helping to raise awareness of the recycling programme prior to and during an event, as well as keeping the programme on track throughout. Following on from the success of last year we are excited about taking this new venture to the show and would urge any visitors who are keen to increase recycling at their events to come and speak to us“.
Jamie-Lee Howard will also be giving a camp fire talk (2pm Thursday 20th) at the event sharing her experience of working on events such as the Cheltenham Festival and the Grand National to increase recycling and introduce best practice for event waste management.
