Following the launch of the updated Good Practice Guide to Recycling and Waste Management, WCRS are partnering with the BIFM to carry out a webinar addressing some of the key legislative changes that FM professionals and those responsible for waste management should be aware of, as well as considering the shift in the principles of best practice over recent years.
The webinar will be kicked off by Dean Newton, Group Sales Director WCRS, who will be giving a legislation overview including key changes and impacts. He will be followed by Ann Beavis, director at Honeymaker Ltd, discussing how FMs can take a proactive approach to managing waste higher up the waste hierarchy and looking at how reuse can become part of everyday practice.
The webinar will conclude with Marcus Sanders, Group Marketing Director of Windsor Integrated Services Group, on the importance of good communication and the basics to planning and communicating a recycling initiative internally to staff.
Dean Newton Group Sales Director WCRS commented: “With many changes in legislation over the last few years and with Brexit casting uncertainty over future waste policy, FM’s face an increasingly complex challenge when it comes to managing their waste sustainably and compliantly. The GPG provides a good foundation for understanding key legislation as well as the basic principles of best practice and the webinar will further explore areas such legislation, the waste hierarchy and communication”.
