WCRS partner with BIFM for popular waste webinar

Following the launch of the BIFM Good Practice Guide to Recycling and Waste Management, WCRS partnered with BIFM to carry out an informative webinar covering topics in the guide including Waste Legislation and Principles of Best Practice.

The webinar which took place on 28th March was attended by some 200 FMs.

Topics covered included, 1) the impact of Separate Collections and Food Regulations on FM Professionals, 2) the role of reuse in a company’s waste management strategy and 3) useful communication tips around promoting recycling schemes internally.

During the course of the webinar a number of polls were conducted which included participants rating their waste management knowledge. The majority, almost 70% felt their knowledge level was average or low demonstrating the value of such webinars.

Dean Newton, Group Sales Director for WCRS and webinar co-presenter on the webinar commented; “Facilities Management Professionals have a wide remit of responsibility and the above poll demonstrates both the value that can be gained from resources such as the BIFM Good Practice Guides and webinars, as well as the vital role that expert suppliers play in the Facilities Management Sector.”

The Good Practice Guide to Recycling and Waste Management is available for download via the BIFM website by clicking here.
